Legislative Initiatives

New Hampshire ACEP is dedicated to New Hampshire emergency physicians and their efforts to provide the best emergency care to their patients. The chapter is actively involved in a wide range of issues, including:

  • Coordination with the statewide trauma system: nomination of a member to sit on the coordinating board
  • Safety helmet legislation: monitoring for any changes in legislation
  • Seat belt legislation: actively encouraging the passing of safety belt legislation
  • Continuing education of patients and physicians: see our CME programs for more information

Saving Millions

In an effort to help the public and lawmakers understand the unique role of the emergency department team and to bolster support to overcome the many challenges we face, ACEP launched a campaign in May 2013 called “Saving Millions.” The campaign includes a series of print ads, radio messages and coordinated editorials in influential communications nationwide.
